Who is Aliza Barber? You might not know her, but you probably know her husband, Lance Barber. He’s the actor who plays George Cooper, Sr., the titular character’s dad on the hit show Young Sheldon.

Since Lance isn’t what you’d say super famous, they live an everyday life without paparazzi or tabloids hounding them. They’re so low profile that there’s little online info about Aliza Barber.
Some people might confuse actress Zoe Perry with Aliza Barber. While Zoe Perry plays Lance Barber’s wife on the TV series “Young Sheldon,” she is not his real-life spouse.
Despite the mix-up, that doesn’t make her any less important—far from it! It only shows how well the Barbers have kept their private life private.
And with social media the way it is, it’s pretty refreshing to find a family that can fly under the radar like this. They’re a great example of how you can be successful in Hollywood without giving up your privacy.

Various online sources describe Aliza as an entrepreneur, author, and speaker—a multi-hyphenate. The catch is that I couldn’t find any solid proof of these claims.
No books with her name on them or videos of her giving talks. We all know how easy it is to get your facts straight with a simple Google search.
What I did find, though, is that Aliza’s a chef. This tidbit comes from Lance’s Wikipedia page and a Battle Creek Enquirer article. So, at least we know she’s got some culinary chops!
Oddly enough, some websites have copy-pasted Lance’s bio and slapped Aliza’s name on it. They’re saying she was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, on June 29, 1973, and went to Kellogg Community College—exactly like Lance.
What are the odds of a married couple having the same birthday, hometown, and college? Pretty slim, I’d say.
Family Life
There’s not much I could dig about Aliza Barber’s family life. The couple has two children: their son, Arlen, born in 2008, and their daughter, Edie, born in 2011. They live in California, close to Lance Barber’s work.
They’re keeping things low-key, and honestly? I respect that.
